Barry had booked us into a lovely hotel (LOADS of leather furniture) overlooking the harbour at Seahouses.

It was clear enough that you could see the Farne Islands from the beach and the horrendous drive up was already beginning to seem well worth the effort.

I had to make like a teacher for a short while at the beginning of the trip

as I had been asked to get some shots of 'Grace Darling's lighthouse'.  

Eventually I could get on with what I had gone there for!

Got a few that I liked!  Above are puffins, a kittiwake hovering and below on the cliff face are guillemots, shags and more kittiwakes.

I always like it when I have a 'caddy' but Barry had to put up with terns making it clear they did NOT appreciate him being there, even if I did!

The following morning there was time for a walk along the beach and a last look at the islands before we made our way home.
