Dad came over and joined in with our celebrations of Jenny's 18th birthday.

Thought you might like to see her birthday earrings.  Opal is her birthstone.  (You can just see one glinting in the photo above!)

The next day we went down to Eastbourne and got to see nearly everybody.  this is Dad with Anne-Marie and Mary.

Earlier in the autumn I took this shot of a large dragonfly which had recently emerged from my pond.  It is on a sedum (iceplant)  which was in full flower.

On an autumnal trip to the island I took this shot of a respectable crop of pears on one of Dad's trees.  (No partridges.)
